SMS Terms

Effective September 21, 2026

These terms cover the text messages BeastWatch sends. BeastWatch is a community map of dangerous wildlife sightings at beastwatch.app.

Who sends these texts

Text messages are sent by Salvus AI (salvus-ai.com) on behalf of BeastWatch. Salvus AI builds BeastWatch and is the registered sender of BeastWatch's texting number, so texts may read "BeastWatch by Salvus AI".

What we text

BeastWatch verification codes: one-time passcodes to sign in to BeastWatch or to verify your mobile number. We send nothing else by text: no marketing, no promotions, no alerts.

A typical message: "BeastWatch: your code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."

How you opt in

On the sign-up form at beastwatch.app/app/auth, you enter your mobile number and tick the box that reads "Text me one-time sign-in and verification codes from BeastWatch". The box starts unticked. Consent is not a condition of creating an account: if you leave it unticked, your codes come by email instead.

How often

One message for each code you request. We never text you unless you have just asked for a code.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to any message (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT). We send one message to confirm, and then no more texts. Your codes then come by email. To start again, reply START.

Help

Reply HELP to any message, or email watchers@beastwatch.app.

Delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on major US carriers.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.
